Starfish on wood base

In the pure spirit of the cabinets of curiosities, here is a starfish with dots (Pentaster obtusatuss), living in the Pacific warm waters, around the Philippines and Indonesia, usually less than 10 meters deep.

Superbly presented on a black wood turned base.
